This non alcoholic Aperol Spritz (AKA aperitif spritz) is so similar to the classic Italian drink - minus the alcohol! It's light and super refreshing!

A classic Aperol spritz is a refreshing cocktail typically served in Italy during the summer.

This non alcoholic Aperol spritz (AKA aperitif spritz) is so similar to a classic Aperol spritz recipe that you won’t even miss the alcohol!

Ingredients

To make this Aperol spritz mocktail, you’ll need:

  • Ritual Aperitif Alternative – I absolutely love the Ritual Aperitif Alternative – it has a great flavor and you don’t need a ton to make this Aperol spritz!
  • Club soda – Club soda works beautifully in this mocktail! Soda water also works, so pick what you like the most!
  • Orange – An orange slice or two turns this into the perfect Aperol spritz. If you don’t have any orange slices aren’t your thing, feel free to use grapefruit slices or even grapefruit juice!

Your typical Aperol spritz ingredients would have sparkling wine (or French champagne), club soda, Aperol, and orange slices – so when you think about it, you’re really not missing too much!

Turning refreshing cocktails into refreshing mocktails is something that I love doing – you’re able to drink more without the fear of a hangover in the morning!

How to make a non alcoholic Aperol spritz

First, prepare your wine glass (or whatever glass you’d like to use)!

I fill my wine glass with ice, then add the Ritual Aperitif Alternative, followed by club soda, and an orange slice or two!

And that’s all you need to make an Aperol spritz mocktail. Crazy, right?!

A traditional Aperol spritz recipe consists of:

  • 3 oz sparkling wine
  • 2 oz Aperol
  • 1 oz club soda (or soda water)
  • Orange peel for garnish

There are tons of ways to make an aperol spritz your own. You could add lemon juice wish a splash of soda into a large wine glass followed by Aperol. Make this thirst quenching cocktail however you want to!

Not at all!

Aperol has an alcohol percentage of 11%.

Whats a good mixer for Aperol?

Some favorites of mine are:

  • Sparkling wine
  • Sparkling water
  • Soda water
  • Dry prosecco
  • Ginger beer
  • Vanilla coke (an odd combo, I know – but don’t knock it until you try it)

Regardless of what you choose, this pre dinner drink will satisfy all of your cravings! Be sure to serve it along with some crusty bread or green olives to really feel like you’re in an Italian town!
