These 21 Seasoning Salute spiced nuts have quickly become one of my favorite spiced nuts to make! They're flavorful and so easy to make!

Trader Joe’s 21 Seasoning Salute has me in a chokehold lately. I’m sure you’ve all seen TikToks of easy Trader Joe’s meals – but I wanted to do something even easier. Thus began my journey to create easy Trader Joe’s snacks.

These spiced nuts are easy to make, incredibly flavorful, and make great gifts! Not to mention, you can swap a few ingredients and make them vegan friendly if you’d like!

Ingredients

Feel free to swap the butter out with coconut or avocado oil to make this a vegan-friendly snack! Maple syrup or an egg white will also work in place of the butter.

How to make 21 seasoning salute spiced nuts

First, preheat your oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit and place a non-stick silicone mat on your baking sheet.

Add the mixed nuts to a medium sized bowl followed by the melted butter and stir well to coat. Make sure each nut has been coated, then add the 21 seasoning salute seasoning and mix again, ensuring that each nut has seasoning on it.

Place the prepared nuts on your baking sheet and with a rubber spatula, spread them out on a single layer. You don’t want them on top of each other!

Now comes the more tedious part. The nuts have to bake for about 30-35 minutes (or until toasted), but you have to stir them every 10 minutes until they’re done.

Once they’re fully baked, remove them from the oven and let them cool. Place in a glass mason jar or start snacking right away!

If stored correctly, these nuts will last you up to 2 months!

Make sure you store them in an airtight container or a glass mason jar for best results.

FAQ

If you have a question that’s not answered below, leave it in the comment box and I’ll do my best to answer it!

How do you get spices to stick to nuts?

If you find that your spice mix isn’t sticking onto your spiced nuts, it could be that you didn’t add enough butter to coat them. You need to make sure that all of the nuts have enough butter, oil, maple syrup, or egg whites on them for the spice blend to stick properly!

How will I know if my nuts go bad?

If your spiced nuts have a certain… smell about them, you’ll know that they’ve gone rancid. Stale nuts will feel softer and loose their crunch while bad nuts will smell (and taste) sour and bitter.
